SPFS — a file system for Spectrum Protect
With SPFS it is possible to mount the Spectrum Protect storage locally on your server, and backup anything with Spectrum Protect

Integrating this with applications and databases is easy, and will improve the RPO (Recovery Point Objective) as maximum data loss will be 1 transaction log in case of an incident
Data is secure as SPFS act as a WORM media (Write Once Read Many), as soon as the data is written; it can’t be changed or removed. Data retention and management is controlled by the Spectrum Protect backup server.
Data reduction is included for free, using de-duplication with compression. That will save approximately 75–95% of the backup storage.
